Getting There

Friedrichshafen is located in the south of Germany directly on the Lake of Constance. Depending on where you come from, there are multiple ways of getting there.

By plane: Yes, Friedrichshafen has an airport. It’s not very big, but still has regular incoming flights from London, Istanbul or Frankfurt.  Alternatively, the airports in Zurich or Munich are both about 1 1/2 hrs away.

By train: Again, the train station is not very big. Still, getting there with Deutsche Bahn is no problem. To all the Basel people: There are direct trains from Basel Bad to Friedrichshafen every two hours. Not only is it faster than by car (2 hrs), but it’s also very cheap with the Baden-Württemberg ticket. (24€ per ticket plus 6€ per person for up to 6 people)

By car: Also works 🙂 Due to GPS directions are unnecessary though.
